These keto stuffed peppers are extremely delicious and full of flavor. Enjoy~
1 lb ground beef
1/2 of a medium onion (chopped)
1 tsp crushed garlic
2 can mushrooms
salt and pepper
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp salt
1/4 cups of water
Fry the onions for 3 minutes. Add the garlic for 1 minute. Add the mushrooms, cook for 5-7 minutes until no more liquid. Add the ground beef and cook until no longer pink. Add the tomato paste, Worcestershire Sause and the salt and combine with the beef. Add the water and simmer for another 5 minutes. Set aside.
For the Cream Sauce
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons keto flour
1 /2 cup heavy cream
4 oz of cream cheese
1/2 teaspoon onion salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
salt and pepper
Topping
1/2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Melt the butter and mix in the flour. Mix the flour and butter until you achieve a golden brown color. Add the heavy cream and cream cheese. Whisk the mixture until the liquid is smooth. Season with onion salt, garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste. Cut tops of the peppers. Wash and pat dry. Season the peppers with salt and pepper. Microwave for 4 minutes. Drain off any excess water. Add 1 tablespoon of mozzarella cheese to the bottom of the peppers. Fill the peppers with meat then top with mozzarella cheese. Top with onion salt. Bake at 400 for 15 minutes. Then Broil for 3-5 minutes.
